What we collect

Capybara collects your email address when you create an account. This is used solely for authentication purposes. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

Recipe data, meal plans, and shopping lists you create are stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore and are only accessible to you and any household member you explicitly invite.

Analytics

Capybara uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (screen views, session length). This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you individually.

Data security

All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Firebase infrastructure is maintained by Google.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing will.satterthwaite@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete my Capybara account". We will process your request within 7 days.
